Jackson Wells Rowady, 18, has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor given by the Boy Scouts of America.
Jackson is a senior at Lexington Catholic High School. He is a member of Troop No. 56, sponsored by Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Winchester.
For his service project, Jackson built benches for the Civil War Fort at Boonesboro in Clark County.
Upon graduation from Lexington Catholic this spring, Jackson will major in business and economics at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va., where he has committed to play soccer.
Jackson is the son of Rita and Alex Rowady of Winchester.
