Two people were taken to a hospital Thursday morning after a house fire on the 2900 block of Clays Mill Road, Lexington Fire spokesman Joe Best said. The injuries were not life-threatening, Best said.
The fire was reported about 5:45 a.m. and was put out shortly after, Battalion Chief Andrew Areaux said.
Clays Mill between Galata Drive and Cecil Way was temporarily shut down to accommodate fire and emergency crews, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.
