Catholics pray for new pope at special Lexington Mass

Bishop Ronald Gainer, left, who heads the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lexington, and Father Mark Dreves, held a special mass for newly elected Pope Francis Thursday at Cathedral of Christ the King in Lexington. Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio was chosen Wednesday, and he chose the name Pope Francis. He is the 266th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church. Photos by Charles Bertram | Staff
