Tony Tretheway continued local bowlers' season-long assault on the record books by posting an 806 in the TNT League at Collins Bowling Centers-Eastland on March 12.

Tretheway rolled games of 279, 258 and 269 for his score, which was the 27th 800 series this season. There were only 12 locally last season.

Jonathon Gilbert rolled a perfect game on March 9 in the youth league at Eastland. The score paced a 706 series.

■ Two state college teams qualified for the Intercollegiate Team Championships to be held April 18-20 at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln, Neb.

Pikeville's team advanced out of the Allentown (Pa.) sectional, as did the Morehead State men's squad.
