Lexington police were looking for a man who robbed a bank on New Circle Road Thursday. The man, wearing a black leather coat and a baseball cap sporting the University of Kentucky logo, walked into PNC Bank at 280 West New Circle Road about 4:40 p.m.

He implied he had a weapon, but he did not show one, Lt. Chad Bacon said. A teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled on foot toward New Circle.

Police called in a helicopter and dogs to track his scent, but they had not found the robber by nightfall.
