A Perry County man was killed early Friday in a two-vehicle collision, state police said in a news release.
Jordan Shepherd, 25, of Jeff, was driving on Ky. 7 shortly before 7 a.m. when he lost control. His vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane, colliding with a vehicle driven by Dwight Eversole, 59, of Yerkes in Perry County, police said.
Eversole was pronounced dead at the crash site, Perry Deputy Coroner John Collett said.
Shepherd was taken to the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital, according to the news release.
Neither driver wore a seat belt, police said.
The investigation is continuing.
