Kentucky State Police have arrested two people for murder in the 2012 death of 16-year-old girl originally thought to be a victim of an overdose.

In May 2012, according to KSP, an investigation began after the girl was found dead at a residence on Ham Hollow Road in Clay County.

KSP Detective Jeff Senters secured warrants for Brenda Bolton, 52, and Kenny Wayne Collins, 45. Each are charged with complicity to commit murder and unlawful transaction of a controlled substance with a minor. Bolton was arrested Thursday by Senters and Collins was arrested on Friday by the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

Both are from Manchester and were taken to the Clay County Detention Center. The investigation continues. The girl was not identified because she is a minor and a victim of a crime.
