Tornado touched down Sunday in Pulaski County

The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down in Pulaski County Sunday evening.

The EF-1 tornado came through the Ferguson community at about 5:40 p.m., bringing winds of up to 100 miles per hour, according to a public information statement from the National Weather Service in Jackson.

The tornado went about 700 yards, "causing substantial damage to the concrete walls of a warehouse building, damaging the roofs of several homes and downing multiple trees," the weather service announced.

There were no reported injuries.
