A man was cited for driving under the influence in connection with a Monday night wreck that injured a woman.

Anthony W. Green, 36, was the driver of a Ford Ranger pickup truck that crossed the center line and collided with a van on Winchester Road, said Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts.

The woman who was driving the van was taken to the hospital with injuries to her arm and leg, Roberts said.

A man and two children who were riding in the van were not injured.

Roberts said Green was cited for DUI rather than arrested because he was injured in the wreck. He was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.

The crash occurred at about 8:20 p.m. Monday and resulted in Winchester Road being shut down between Man o' War Boulevard and Bahama Road for some time.
