Disabled woman has repair bill

March 27, 2013

Felisha Holloway, a case manager at Community Action, is counseling a single woman who needs $414.39 to pay for repairs to her car.

The woman became disabled in 2002 and had to stop working. Recently she began having problems with the brakes on her car, which is her sole means of transportation. The cost of the repairs is more than she can afford to pay. Once the repair bill is taken care of, she will be able to manage on her income from SSI benefits and food stamps.
