A 25-year-old Lexington man died early Monday in a traffic accident in Scott County, authorities said.

Seth Gibson was a passenger in a vehicle that struck two trees on Weisenberger Road, said Capt. Jearl Porter of the Scott County sheriff's office.

The accident occurred at 3 a.m. Monday, said Scott County Coroner John Goble.

The vehicle carrying Porter was traveling north on Weisenberger, Porter said.

Police are trying to determine who was driving the vehicle, Porter said.

An injured woman at the accident scene, identified as Carolyn Breunig of Lexington, said she was not driving the vehicle, Porter said. Breunig said three people were in the car at the time of the accident.
