An Elliott County grand jury returned an indictment Monday on a 20-year-old man for murder and tampering with evidence, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police.

The charges against Kyle S. Holbrook of Olive Hill are the result of an investigation in April 2011, the news release said.

The body of Paul D. Bryant, 19, was discovered in a pond in rural Elliott County.

State police Detective Toby Gardner arrested Holbrook on the indictment warrant Monday, and he was being held in the Rowan County jail in Morehead.
