A 44-year-old man died in a motorcycle wreck Tuesday night in Mercer County.

Frederick Bebart, who had recently moved from Georgetown to Harrodsburg, died of multiple injuries, Mercer Deputy Coroner Scott Moseley said Wednesday.

Just before 7 p.m., Bebart was westbound on Kennedy Bridge Road when his motorcycle left the road and hit a tree stump, sending him and the motorcycle airborne, according to a news release from the Scott County Sheriff's office. Speed is thought to be a factor in the collision, the news release said.
