Sports Business Daily is reporting that the SEC will announce next Tuesday that it is launching its own television network in August of 2014.

The announcement is scheduled for noon at the Hyatt in Atlanta and will be made in association with ESPN, which will partner with the SEC on the network.

Because of its television network, the Big Ten′s annual income is $310 million a year, according to Forbes. SEC’s annual revenue is approximately $270 million.

The Big Ten started its own network in 2007 and school revenue from the conference has increased dramatically. For example, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that Minnesota’s revenue has grown from $10.1 million before the network was launched to $22.9 million in 2011.
