A Bourbon County man was killed Saturday night when his motorcycle collided with two vehicles while he was trying to pass one of them, Kentucky State Police said.

The accident happened when Randall Baber, 51, of Paris passed a vehicle in a no-passing zone on Millersburg Road in Bourbon County, striking another vehicle head-on and colliding with the vehicle he was passing, police said.

Baber, who was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which was reported at 9:19 p.m. Police said alcohol and speed were thought to be contributing factors.

The operators of the other vehicles and their passengers were taken to the hospital. No additional information was available Sunday.

The crash remains under investigation.
