The Griffin Gate Marriott Resort and Spa in Lexington said Monday that it has completed its $5 million guest-room renovation project.
The renovation completes the first phase of the Newtown Pike hotel's three-year renovation plan, the Marriott said in a release.
Guest rooms feature new furniture, carpet, desks and lighting, and patio furniture, and new mattresses from Lexington-based Tempur-Pedic. The rooms also have technology enhancements including wireless Internet access, HD TVs, MP3 players and locally inspired artwork.
The resort also renovated its hospitality and presidential suites for corporate, social and bridal entertaining. Other enhancements include renovation of the Elmendorf and Spendthrift meeting rooms.
