Lexington police release photo of woman suspected in several thefts

April 18, 2013

Lexington police released photos Thursday of a woman who might have been involved in several thefts in March.

On March 30, police were alerted to a string of thefts from vehicles at Masterson Station, Jacobson and Coldstream parks. Multiple purses and wallets were stolen from the vehicles, police said.

Investigators with the police department's Financial Crimes Unit acquired photographs of the woman during a bank transaction during which she cashed a forged check. Police said the woman has cashed multiple forged checks in Lexington and Louisville.

Police investigators are encouraging Lexington and Louisville residents to go to IdThisPerson.com to help identify her and others. Anyone who correctly identifies the woman can receive a $25 reward.

People who want to identify the woman without receiving the reward may contact Lexington police at (859) 258-3600, or the Financial Crimes Unit at (859) 258-3700.
