Earnings flat for Community Trust

Community Trust Bancorp announced this week that its first-quarter earnings were essentially flat compared to the same period a year earlier.

The Pikeville-based company earned $11.82 million, or 76 cents a share, during the first quarter. That's down 0.4 percent from $11.87 million, or 77 cents a share, in the first quarter of 2012.

Community Trust operates 71 bank branches in Kentucky, six in West Virginia and four in Tennessee.
