Coming up: A field of 11 horses headlined by Grade I winner Pool Play are set to go to post in the Grade II Elkhorn Stakes going 11/2-miles on the turf on Friday's closing day of the Spring Meet.

Final furlong

■ Trainer Mike Maker won three races and increased his spring meet total to 22 wins. That mark equals D. Wayne Lukas for the all-time record wins by a trainer during a Keeneland meet. Maker's victories were with horses owned by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, who also have 22 wins this meet.

■ Ken Ramsey was absent from Keeneland Thursday as his wife Sarah Ramsey was taken to UK Medical Center earlier in the day with an unspecified issue.
