A Wolfe County woman died Thursday when her stopped car was struck from behind on Ky. 15 South in Wolfe County, police said.

Kentucky State Police identified the woman Friday as Juanita Bailey, 47, of Campton.

Bailey and Lola Bailey, 21, also of Campton, were sitting in their car, which had run out of gas, in the far right northbound lane on Ky. 15 South. The car's hazard lights were activated, according to a news release.

Clyde Simmons, 71, of Lexington was traveling north in his car when his car struck Bailey's car from behind, the news release said.

Lola Bailey was treated at a hospital and released. Alcohol is not thought to be a factor in the crash, police said.
