The person who was killed in a Danville house fire early Wednesday was identified Friday as Margaret Olivia "Libby" Moore, 37, by the state medical examiner's office in Frankfort.

Moore, a registered nurse, died in a blaze that destroyed the two-story house at 301 Venetian Way on Danville's west side.

Dr. Don Hamner, the Boyle County coroner, said Moore died of smoke inhalation.

Police and fire investigators went back to the scene Friday morning to comb through the rubble to find more clues to the fire's cause.

Moore's husband, Larry Moore Jr., 39, and two sons, Larry III, 16, and Levi, 14, were not at the house on the night of the fire. They were staying at a cabin at Gwinn Island Resort and Marina at nearby Herrington Lake.

Danville Police Chief Tony Gray has said officers were called to the Venetian Way address Tuesday, but he would not discuss why.

Friends and family were planning a candlelight vigil at the scene Friday night, Gray said.

Arrangements for Libby Moore are pending at Wilder Funeral Home in Perryville.
