Gene A. Glover

State police arrested a man Friday on charges that he set fires last month in two Bath County houses owned by his ex-wife.

Investigators had been looking for Gene A. Glover of Morehead in connection with the fires. State police sent out a news release April 10 saying they had obtained a warrant for Glover but had not been able to find him.

Glover was arrested in Aberdeen, Ohio, on an unrelated charge this week, said Master Trooper Joseph Veeneman, spokesman for the state police post in Morehead. Kentucky state police took custody of Glover on Friday afternoon.

Glover is charged with two counts each of second-degree arson and second-degree burglary. He also was charged with 21 counts of wanton endangerment for endangering the firefighters who extinguished the fires.

The fires were set March 20 in two houses on U.S. 60 East in Bath County.
