Lex-Care: Mother of four needs money for electric bill

LaFleesha Patton, a counselor at Community Action, is working with a single mother of four, who needs $224.86 to pay her electric bill. She is employed but unable to work due to injuries received in an auto accident. She is undergoing physical therapy and her employer is holding her job. Once the debt is cleared and she is working, she will be able to support her family.

Nurse suffering from seizures needs $500 for rent

A nurse who is unable to work regularly because of frequent seizures resulting from an auto accident has contacted Carmen Cotto, a counselor at Cardinal Valley Elementary School. She needs $500 to pay her rent. Until her condition stabilizes she will be able to manage on the income she receives from Supplemental Social Insurance benefits.
