Buckley & Co. Insurance of Lexington has consolidated its operations with Louisville-based Neace Lukens, the company said Thursday.

The Buckley family and a majority of Buckley's employees will remain with the insurance agency that B.F. Buckley Jr. founded, according to a news release.

"Our partnership with Neace Lukens presents a unique opportunity for our business to join a quality organization led by insurance industry veterans that will provide more resources for customers," said Biff Buckley, who owns and operates the agency with his sister, Elizabeth Buckley.

Buckley & Co. Insurance will move its offices from Perimeter Drive in Lexington to Neace Lukens' Lexington office on Sir Barton Way in Hamburg. It also will take the Neace Lukens name.

Neace Lukens operates 30 offices in Kentucky and 12 other states.
