Lexington police called off an intensive search Friday for a man who reportedly dragged a woman into a wooded area behind their Feltner Court home, spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.

A neighbor reported the incident before 10 a.m., Roberts said.

Police were still searching for the couple Friday afternoon, but had discontinued using dogs and a helicopter.

No other information was immediately available, Roberts said.
