University of Kentucky senior Stephanie Klefot has been invited to train with the United States National Volleyball Team in Anaheim, Calif., in the weeks ahead.

Klefot, a two-time All-American, ended her UK career last fall and now will train with Team USA in hopes of ultimately earning a spot on the squad.

"I'm very excited to train with some of the best volleyball talent in the world," Klefot said in a UK news release. "It's an honor and a privilege to even be given this opportunity. I hope to represent Kentucky and the program Coach (Craig) Skinner has developed as best as possible."

Team USA Coach Karch Kiraly selected Klefot to join the squad for an extended training session, after a tryout in February. The national team is coming off a silver medal performance at the 2012 Olympics, and Kiraly has been tapped to lead the team into the 2016 Games in Rio De Janeiro.

Klefot is the only player in UK history to appear in three NCAA Tournament Sweet 16s. The Louisville native was named Southeastern Conference libero of the year three straight times.
