Construction on U.S. 60 will cause further lane restrictions in Woodford and Fayette Counties beginning Sunday afternoon.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Department of Highways said in a news release that all traffic on U.S. 60 will be shifted to the eastbound side of the road from the Franklin-Woodford County line for about 7 1/2 miles into Woodford County.
At 8 p.m., eastbound traffic on U.S. 60 will be shifted to the south side of the roadway from the Martha Layne Collins Bluegrass Parkway, near the Woodford-Fayette County line, to New Circle Road in Fayette County, according to another release.
At least one lane in both directions will be open for the duration of the project. Local law enforcement will be assisting with the traffic switch, the releases said.
