Three women and a man were taken to a hospital Monday night after a street fight in Lexington on Atiya Place, near Brown Avenue.

Their injuries, which included cuts, were not life-threatening, said Lt. Sam Murdock of the Lexington police.

Police, called to the scene about 7 p.m., separated five or six people who were fighting and recovered "several weapons," he said.

They did not have any suspects and did not know what caused the fight as of about 7:45 p.m.

According to ambulance scanner traffic, one of the people taken to the hospital was a 25-year-old man with a stab wound to the right forearm. The ambulance operator said the weapon was a serrated steak knife.
