Woodford County under boil-water advisory after water-main break

Published: May 7, 2013

All residents of Woodford County are under a boil-water advisory because of a water main break.

The break occurred about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway and Main Street in Versailles. It had been fixed by about 10 p.m., said John Kendrick, an employee of Versailles Municipal Utilities.

The boil-water advisory is expected to be lifted by Wednesday evening.

Any water that residents intend to consume should be boiled for at least three minutes, according to the advisory posted on the Versailles city website.
