A Wilmore woman died Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Jessamine County, a deputy sheriff said.

Bethany L. Hardman, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene by Jessamine County Coroner Michael Hughes, said Jessamine County Chief Deputy Sheriff Allen Peel.

Hardman was driving a 2002 Saturn and had attempted to turn left onto Ky. 169 from Clear Creek Road. Her vehicle collided with a southbound 2011 Chevrolet driven by Richard J. Abel, 47, of Versailles, Peel said. Abel was not injured.

The crash happened shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday, about six miles northwest of Nicholasville. Alcohol is not suspected in the crash, Peel said.

A stretch of Ky. 169 near Clear Creek Road was closed to traffic for more than three hours but reopened at 12:30 p.m., Peel said.
