Eastbound I-64 lanes closed near Morehead

Special to Kentucky.comMay 11, 2013

MOREHEAD — Both eastbound lanes of I-64 at mile marker 136 near Morehead remained closed Saturday morning following a tractor-trailer crash.

Emergency responders were working to clear the crashed vehicle and debris from travel lanes, but the interstate could remain closed until after noon.

Kentucky Department of Highways crews have established a detour: All eastbound traffic should use Exit 133 at Farmers-Sharkey to KY 801 south to U.S. 60 east to Morehead, then take Ky. 32 west to return to I-64 at Exit 137. Westbound traffic is unaffected at this time.
