K-Lair sign comes down

Chad Weisbrodt of O'Rourke Wrecking Co. used a cutting torch Monday to remove the brackets on the old lighted sign at the University of Kentucky's K-Lair Grill. The popular UK eating spot, which opened in 1961, closed May 3 and is being demolished to make room for a new dorm. The sign will be restored, possibly to be placed in another dining hall on campus.
