After Kobie Walker announced Monday night that he'll be playing his college football at the University of Kentucky, the junior linebacker/safety from Washington, D.C., told the Washington Post's Recruiting Insider blog that he hopes he's cracked open a new recruiting pipeline to the Wildcats.
You dont see a lot of players come from the DMV and go to Kentucky, so hopefully this will start a new trend, Walker said. Hopefully, we can get more people from this area out there and they can fall in love with the program like I did.
