May May 19, 1997: Actors Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker in New York City. Broderick and Parker were married in a secret wedding ceremony, which was even a surprise for their guests who thought they were attending a party. Parker reportedly bought the first dress she saw - a ruffled black dress with full skirt and Broderick wore a black off-the-rack suit. The wedding took place at the Angel Oresanz Synagogue in front of 100 guests, but the vows were officiated by Broderick's sister, Episcopal minister Janet Broderick Kraft. The reception that followed the ceremony included show tunes by the Peter Duchin's Orchestra. The couple has twins, Marion and Tabatha.
May 19, 2012: Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan in Palo Alto, Calif. The couple met at Harvard and dated for close to nine years before making the big decision to tie the knot. They had a backyard ceremony that was a surprise to guests who thought it was a celebration for Chan's graduation from UCSF Medical School. They walked down the aisle together, along with their Hungarian sheepdog, Beast. Chan wore Claire Pettibone's "Sky Between the Branches" wedding gown and received a ruby ring from Zuckerberg that he designed himself. The two honeymooned in Italy.
May 20, 1995: Musician Don Henley and former model Sharon Summerall in Los Angeles. Performers at Henley and Summerall's wedding included Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Billy Joel, John Fogerty, Jackson Browne, Donna Lewis, Sheryl Crow, Glenn Frey, and Tony Bennett. After a few engagements, Henley married Summerall at age 48.The couple has three children together.
May 21, 2011: Singer Keyshia Cole and basketball player Daniel Gibson in Las Vegas, This was the first of two weddings for the couple. The only guests were the couple's parents and their 14 month old son, Daniel Gibson Jr. They both wore white. The second wedding was a much larger affair in Hawaii held four months later.
May 22, 2010: Singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette and rapper Mario "Souleye" Treadway in Los Angeles. The couple had a super private wedding and didn't announce it until nearly two weeks afterward, via Twitter no less! This is the first marriage for both Morissette and Treadway, who have been together since 2009.
May 23, 1992: Actress Sela Ward and Howard Sherman. The couple has two children together.
May 24, 1950: Actress Ingrid Bergman and Director Roberto Rossellini in Juarez, Mexico, Rossellini cast Bergman in a starring role in his 1950 film "Stromboli" after she had written him a letter expressing her admiration for his work as a director. The two fell in love while filming the movie in Italy. They married each other through proxy in a Mexican wedding - two stand-ins took part in the physical ceremony while Bergman and Rossellini merely signed the legal documents.
May 25, 2002: Supermodel Claudia Schiffer and Matthew Vaughn in Suffolk, England. Vaughn reportedly proposed to Schiffer with a tortoise, instead of an engagement ring. The couple was married at St. George's church in the village of Shimpling in Suffolk followed by a wedding reception was held at Schiffer's Elizabethan mansion.
