LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Canadian man is accused of stalking and harassing the family of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and is awaiting a July 23 trial date in the Jefferson County jail.
Officials allege 23-year-old Han Cong Zhao contacted Lawrence's brother, Blaine, more than 200 times before flying to Louisville April 18 and that he continued trying to contact him when Zhao was involuntarily held at a psychiatric hospital in Louisville.
The Courier-Journal ( http://cjky.it/16EHpi9) reported that prosecutors said Zhao left a voice mail for Blaine Lawrence, saying: "I find you or you come to me. You got me really upset, when I am upset, wait and see what happens."
Zhao, of Vancouver, is being held on $100,000 bond. His public defender, Erin Melchior, unsuccessfully sought a lower bond earlier this month.
