— An eastern Kentucky coroner says the identities of two people found in a burned out car in 2012 have been confirmed.

Breathitt County Coroner George Griffith told WYMT-TV (http://bit.ly/16vl1bx) on Friday that the victims were Michael Hufstetler and his wife, Crystal Hufstetler. They were found in October by hunters.

Griffith said both had been shot to death before the vehicle was burned.

He said officials had to do DNA tests to confirm their identities and it took seven months to get the results.

Police say the case has been classified as a homicide. No arrests have been made.
