Taylorsville man accused of raping child

A man from Taylorsville has been indicted on charges of rape, sexual abuse of a child and having materials portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

A grand jury in Spencer County returned the indictment against Robert Michael Howard, 43, on Friday, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police.

Howard faces one count of first-degree rape, one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a child younger than 12 and six counts of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
