2 women admit violent attack of boy that included alcohol, police say

— Two women face assault charges after they admitted they attacked an 8-year-old boy and used alcohol to intensify his pain, Hopkinsville police said.

Paulette M. Godfrey, 32, and Latoya L. Stampley, 28, were interviewed by police after officers were called to Belmont Elementary School to investigate a report of child abuse, according to an arrest report. The report described the women violently abusing an 8-year-old boy. Both women described spanking the boy and using alcohol on the resulting wound to intensify the pain, according to the report.
