A Michigan hiker missing since Sunday in Wolfe County was found dead Tuesday; he had fallen from a cliff, Wolfe County Deputy Coroner Gary Sparks said.

James Jackson, 27, of Pigeon, Mich., had been staying in a campground lodge in the Land of the Arches hiking area, Sparks said.

Jackson went hiking Sunday with his dog, Sparks said.

The dog returned to the lodging area without Jackson, Sparks said.

Jackson fell about 160 feet from a cliff and was found about 4:30 p.m., Sparks said.
