Pikeville police said there was no evidence of foul play involving a man's body found Wednesday at a Pikeville city park.

In an updated news release at 1:30 p.m Wednesday, police said the case remains an active death investigation, but there was no evidence of foul play.

Pike County Coroner Russell Roberts said the body was taken to the state medical examiner's office in Frankfort for an autopsy. Police said the body was found at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday. They released no other details.

Roberts said Wednesday morning that authorities had identified the body but were not releasing the name because relatives had not been notified. He would not discuss a cause of death.
