University of Kentucky freshman infielder Christian Stokes hit two solo home runs, junior pitcher/infielder Lauren Cumbess and senior outfielder Alice O'Brien each added solo shots but it wasn't enough as No. 5 Arizona State defeated the Wildcats 5-4 to take the first game of the Tempe Super Regional Saturday night at Farrington Stadium.

The second game of the best-of-three series between UK and Arizona State will be played at 5 p.m. ET Sunday on ESPN. Kentucky will be the home team in the game. If the Cats force a game three it will be played at 8 p.m. ET Sunday on ESPN2. Both games will be available on WatchESPN.
