Summerfest stage takes shape in Lexington's Arboretum

A crew worked on the stage Tuesday for this year's Summerfest production in the Arboretum on Alumni Drive.

Daniel Perez, the technical director and scenic designer, was among those putting together the set for the Kentucky Conservatory Theatre Summerfest series, which will present two productions. Peter Pan will run from July 5-7 and July 10-14 while A Chorus Line will be presented July 24-28 and July 31-Aug. 4 in the outdoor setting.

The annual performances began about 28 years ago as the Lexington Shakespeare Festival, and in 2007, under a new board of directors and staff, became Summerfest.
