Funeral arrangements set for man found on Georgetown Road

Funeral arrangements have been set for the Lexington man whose body was found Saturday night in a tree-lined field near Georgetown and Newtown roads.

The visitation for Tommy Edward Crawford, 45, is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home in Versailles. His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday.

Crawford died from blunt-force trauma, the coroner has said. Investigators have charged Jimmie D. Alexander, 38, with murder, according to a news release from Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts.
