The Lexington-based independent game-development group RunJumpDev will host an entrepreneurial event Thursday.

RunJumpDev is an organization of game developers, companies and people promoting the video game industry in Lexington.

The group will discuss the presentation given in March at the huge PAXEast gaming conference in Boston. An estimated 80,000 people attended the conference.

RunJumpDev's event, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday at West Sixth Brewing Co., is designed to show residents the games that are being created by independent development companies in the Bluegrass, organizers said.

"Everyone can come play the games, meet local game developers, watch the PAXEast video and have a drink," said John Meister, a RunJumpDev founder.

The event is free.
