Garrard farm laborer accused of sexually abusing four children

June 20, 2013

A Garrard County farm laborer was charged Thursday with the sexual abuse of four children, Kentucky State Police said.

Jose Luna, 47, of Lancaster was charged with first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse, said Trooper Paul Blanton, spokesman for the state police post in Richmond.

The children — ranging in age from 7 to 13 — were boys and girls, Blanton said.

Lunas is not related to the children but was staying in their home as a "friend of the family," Blanton said.

Luna was being held in the Lincoln County jail in Stanford.

The case is being investigated by detective Rodney Wren.
