Auto supplier to add jobs

June 22, 2013

Frankfort: Gov. Steve Beshear announced Friday that Accuride Corp., which makes components for commercial vehicles, is investing $5.8 million to expand the powder coating line at its steel wheel plant in Henderson, the state said in a news release.

Accuride expects to add 30 jobs. A leading manufacturer of steel wheels for commercial vehicles, Accuride’s Henderson facility was established in 1974 as part of what was then Firestone Steel Products. The plant employs about 160 people.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $600,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program.
