Biancke's Restaurant in Cynthiana, which has been in the town since 1894, caught fire about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and sustained serious damage, Cynthiana Fire Department Assistant Officer Darrin Hawkins.

"There are three floors to this building. The first and second floors are completely damaged," Hawkins said.

The restaurant was open at the time, but everyone got out safely, Hawkins said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
