$10,000 offered to identify motorcyclist who shot at Nicholasville officer

The Nicholasville Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of a motorcyclist who shot at one of its police officers June 7.

The money for the reward was provided by community donations, according to a news release from Nicholasville police.

Because of low visibility at the time, the shooter was described only as a man riding a sport bike, according to the news release.

The motorcyclist fired two shots at the officer who had attempted to pull him over close to midnight, according to the news release.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Nicholasville Police Department at (859) 885-9467.
