A man has been arrested in Ohio and charged with murder in the death of a Greenup County woman who had been missing since Wednesday.

The Russell Police Department said Sunday that Arthur R. Quigley, 30, was arrested by the Preble County, Ohio, Sheriff's Department in the death of Mary C. Dixon of South Shore.

Authorities said the arrest followed an intensive investigation by Russell police, with help from the Russell Fire Department and the Bellefonte and Flatwoods police departments.

A body tentatively identified as that of Dixon was found Saturday afternoon behind a hobby shop in Russell.

According to police, Quigley is from Kitts Hill, Ohio, across the Ohio River from Greenup County. He will be extradited to Kentucky soon, Russell police said.

Dixon was last seen Wednesday night at a Subway restaurant in Russell where she worked. According to WSAZ-TV in Huntington, W.Va., Dixon called her mother that evening and indicated she was going to her mother's home in South Shore.

She never arrived there, and her car was left at the Subway.
