Danville police are investigating the weekend fatal hit-and-run of a Michigan woman, Boyle County Coroner Dr. Don Hamner said Monday.

The body of Ann Duncan, 33, of Waterford Township, Mich., was found after 10 p.m. Saturday on Gose Pike, a narrow, two-lane road near the motel where Duncan was staying, Hamner said. A passer-by reported finding the body.

Duncan died of blunt force trauma that is believed to be from a vehicle, according to preliminary results of an autopsy performed Monday by the state medical examiner's office, Hamner said.

Duncan, her husband and two children were in Boyle County for a wedding, Hamner said.
